Who We Are
Founded by Ronni Kahn AO in 2004 after noticing the huge volume of food going to waste, OzHarvest quickly grew to become Australia’s leading food rescue organisation. Food is at our core, saving surplus food from ending up in landfill and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need. We are committed to halving food waste by 2030, inspiring and influencing others to do the same, and transforming lives through education.

Bring FEAST to your school
FEAST is a FREE 10-week curriculum-aligned education program for primary and high schools, which explores food waste, its environmental impact, positive food choices and easy classroom cooking.
Pay It Forward Dinners
Dine with us every Wednesday and Thursday night at Refettorio OzHarvest Sydney for our Pay It Forward dinners and help feed people in need.
Cooking for a Cause
Cooking for a Cause is a unique team building activity. Transform rescued ingredients into gourmet meals, which we deliver to the local community.

We’re beyond grateful to our incredible partner @oxoaustralia for donating 50 Sustainability Kits to schools in our FEAST (Food Education and Sustainability Training) program! 🌱
Each kit is packed with everything schools need to tackle food waste head-on, including a compost bin, produce keeper, and iconic POP container s.
At Hunters Sports High School, the kit has sparked a sustainability movement. They’ve set up compost bins across campus, collecting organic waste to feed their worm farm and enrich their garden beds.
The most incredible impact? Their worm farm produces fertiliser called ‘worm tea’ which they sell to fund classroom resources. That’s sustainable innovation in action!
“The OXO containers have allowed us to cut down on food waste. It’s been wonderful to see students making real-world connections between reducing waste and growing food sustainably” shares teacher Nicole Cottril.

Louise* has relied on OzHarvest for years, not just for herself, but for the people in her community who have no one else. Elderly people living with dementia, without family nearby to help. She shows up for them, helping make sure they have meals they couldn`t otherwise afford.
She has watched the queues grow. She has watched the faces change.
