Nourish Program Support Trainer
Classification: Part-time
Location: Adelaide
The Nourish Program is a hospitality focused employment and engagement pathway for at-risk youth aged 16-25. The 18-week program blends foundation skills and industry training to prepare participants for study, work and self-sufficiency.
We are currently looking for a magnificent individual to join our Adelaide Nourish Team as the Nourish Support Trainer on a part-time, 3 day per week basis.
This position is to support the Adelaide Nourish Program Lead Trainer in the overall running of the program in line with current OzHarvest practices, procedures and project aims. This includes a requirement to support the facilitation of the program, to provide guidance and support to the participants during and post-course completion. It involves helping them to achieve their educational and developmental potential, navigating personal and social situations, and facilitating opportunities for the individual to build community connections.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment: TAE40116 or TAE40110 and the following two units of competency: TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills, TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools. (Highly desirable)
- Relevant qualification and experience in commercial cookery – Minimum Certificate II in Kitchen Operations.
- Excellent communication, administrative and customer service skills.
- Dedication to support the young vulnerable community.

Classification: Part-time
Location: Adelaide

As part of the Adelaide Nourish team, the key focus of the Nourish Program Youth Worker role is to assist and support the Nourish Program students on their journey. You will be an integral part of their Nourish experience from the moment they apply to embarking on the next steps after the program has concluded. The role includes a requirement to provide guidance and support to the participants during and after the program. It involves helping them to achieve their educational and developmental potential, navigate personal and social situations, and facilitating opportunities for the individuals to continue in education or employment pathways.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- A qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Youth Work, Social Work, Social Science, Counselling).
- Experience working with at-risk young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills.
- Strong motivation and initiative.


NSW Engagement Coordinator

As the NSW Engagement Coordinator you will be an integral part of the NSW team, working with internal stakeholders, notably the NSW Chef/Kitchen Team and Operations, to build strong relationships to deliver our programs and events, focusing predominately on Cooking For A Cause (CFAC). Reporting into the NSW Engagement Manager, the NSW Engagement Coordinator will help to acquire, establish and nurture connections with new and existing external corporates and act as a key point of contact for the corporate stakeholders.
In this role you will have the opportunity to influence change to optimise our programs and engage corporates. If you are a superstar team player with incredible communication and relationship building skills, are an expert at administration and organisation, we’d love to hear from you!


Chef
Location: Newcastle
We are seeking a Chef to join our amazing team in the kitchens for our Cooking for a Cause program on an adhoc casual basis! The primary focus of the CFAC Chef is to deliver team building cooking sessions to corporate supporters, utilising quality rescued food to produce nourishing meals in an innovative and creative way. Responsibilities for this role include :
- Delivering the CFAC program with passion, motivating and mingling with guests, facilitating discussion about OzHarvest and the work we do
- Presenting engaging cooking classes within the designated time frame
- Ensuring that appropriate WHS information is conveyed
To be successful for this role you will need :
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum Certificate 3 in hospitality/Commercial cookery
- Experience in leading and training teams


Food Rescue Driver
Location: Brisbane & Melbourne (Casual and Part time), Perth (Casual)
We are seeking dedicated, friendly and professional individuals to proudly act as ambassadors for OzHarvest. You will be driving our bright yellow vans to facilitate the redistribution of good quality surplus food and deliver it to the various charities we serve.
Good knowledge of the area is a must.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience as a Driver and a valid Australian Drivers License
- Ability to foster relationships with the community, educate and build rapport
- Ability to lift up to 15kg of food
- Current MR license highly desirable (Melbourne)
