One year ago, we opened the doors of our new hub in Melbourne’s southeast, and what a year it’s been! We’ve expanded our reach from three trucks to five in that time and rescued over 1.3 million kgs of food, enabling 2.6 million meals to go to 78 charities across the region, who are coping with the rising demand for food relief.

Volunteers from local charity Find a Penny, Sharon and Doinita, once received food but now volunteer, giving back to the very community that supported them. Food is always at the heart of our impact. 💛

Our hub is a hive of activity, creating strong community connections every day. A huge thank you to our food donors, drivers, volunteers, and charity partners who make this impact possible every single day.

Special thanks to the Victorian Department of Families, Fairness & Housing who gave us the grant to develop the hub, and to our National Food Rescue Partner @woolworths_au who enabled the additional runs. 💛
Onion chopping just got competitive 🧅

At Cooking for a Cause, our signature corporate volunteering activity, our chefs teach your team to chop and cook like a pro, as you turn rescued produce into nourishing meals for people who need them most. It’s a great opportunity to learn new kitchen skills, fight food waste and connect with your team (over a bit of friendly competition) while giving back to your local community.
