Exciting news! This week we delivered our 250 millionth meal to one of our long standing charities in Sydney, RedLink Community Centre. The wonderful  Peter Akkermans, Community Change Coordinator was on hand to help meet our driver Julie for this special delivery. “We always look forward to seeing OzHarvest every Monday, but to be part of this huge milestone meal made our day! Congratulations OzHarvest, what you do for our community is enormous. Being able to receive free, nourishing food means one less thing to worry about that week…especially with Christmas around the corner, which can be a difficult time for many.”

“Some days I have to pinch myself to remember that everything is real” said CEO and Founder, Ronni Kahn. “I will never forget seeing the first van deliver rescued food to hungry people. I was overcome with joy, just like I am now, knowing we’ve delivered 250 million meals to feed people in need, which is 88,000 tonnes of good food save from ending up in landfill. I’m truly thankful to everyone who has helped on this journey.. our magnificent team and volunteers, partners and supporters, our network of 1,500 charities and 2,610 wonderful food donors.” 💛
