Domain gives back to the community

OzHarvest is excited to welcome Domain as a new Awesome Partner this year. As one of Australia’s leading property portals and most recognisable brands, Domain have made a name for themselves helping people find a place to call home.

The 12-month partnership will allow OzHarvest to deliver an additional 200,000 meals to help feed people in need and provide Domain employees with opportunities to give back to their community, from volunteering days, donating their skills or helping out with a financial contribution.

Natalie Hodges, Domain’s Growth Manager, said, “Domain strives to have a positive impact on our community. We are excited to be working with OzHarvest to help them in their mission to ‘Nourish our Country’ and stop food waste in Australia. The partnership will open up unique employee opportunities for education and engagement, whilst providing a tangible impact in communities on both a local and national scale.”

One of the first team members to get out on the road was Domain’s Performance Marketing Manager, Dinah Holdsworth who joined OzHarvest driver Steve on his daily van ride. “Seeing how much hard work and logistics goes into food rescue was such an amazing experience. Steve’s passion is contagious, and I was very pleased to make his run a little easier. Visiting the loading docks and seeing how much food goes to waste every day was eye opening! It solidified how crucial an organisation like OzHarvest is and the very important job they do.”

Jo McGee, OzHarvest’s National Partnerships Manager, said, “We are so pleased to be working with Domain to find meaningful, fun ways to activate their passionate team members all across Australia!”

The Domain team have already rolled their sleeves up and helped pack hampers and joined us for Cooking for a Cause programs and we look forward to welcoming more staff as they join us to help ‘Nourish our Country.’
