BP joined the OzHarvest family in January as an Ultimate Partner until 2021. Over the past 11 months we have achieved some phenomenal things as we work together to feed hungry people by minimizing food waste.

With BP’s support, we’ve rescued 2,748,444 kg of food in our yellow food rescue vans which are all fuelled by BP. This has allowed us to deliver over 8 million meals to hungry Aussies! We’ve also collected 65,075 kg of quality food from 120 BP stores around the country.

In 2017 we have received almost 400 more volunteer hours from BP employees. We’ve loved welcoming the BP team into our kitchens around Australia to participate in our Cooking for a Cause classes. We have also had a number of BP volunteers join our drivers in our food rescue vans for a day, collecting quality surplus food and delivering it to the charities we work with.

BP was also the Major Event Partner of the 2017 CEO CookOff. Business leaders Andy Holmes and Claire Fitzpatrick joined some of Australia’s top chefs in the kitchen to cook up a storm for 1100 of Sydney’s most vulnerable people and raise an amazing $1.7 million to support the OzHarvest cause. You can watch the video of the night here:
