The wonderful surprises just keep coming for OzHarvest. First we were thrilled to receive an invitation to be Bruce Springsteen’s charity of choice at his recent Brisbane shows.

Secondly, we had to smile when 11 year old Springsteen fan, Nathan Testa, donated $500 to OzHarvest after he made headlines for his appearance on stage with Bruce (see our Facebook page for the full story).

As if that wasn’t enough, OzHarvest were surprised and humbled by Sargents Pies decision to donate their profits from Springsteen’s Wrecking Ball Tour to food rescue. On conclusion of the tour, the Sargents Pies Charitable Foundation presented OzHarvest Brisbane with $33,000!

Sargents Pies Charitable Foundation aims to provide “The relief of poverty, suffering, distress or misfortune within Australia” and to “Facilitate the needs of persons who are in necessitous circumstances within Australia”. Thanks to their generous donation, OzHarvest Brisbane can provide a further 33,000 meals to those most in need in our local community. What a great partnership!
