The Mobile Market

OzHarvest’s Mobile Market focuses on supplying fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs direct to the community with regular scheduled public markets in areas of high recovery need. Our team works hand in hand with local organisations to create welcoming community connection spaces. Please come along if you are in need of food assistance. You will be greeted by OzHarvest Ambassadors who will put together a bag with the items you request. There is a limit of one bag per household.

The OzHarvest Mobile Market will continue to deliver nourishing food to regional communities in 2022 thanks to the support of cold storage company Chill.

COVID-19 Update

Please do not handle the produce, instead wait for a team member to serve you. Attendees are requested to maintain social distancing of 1.5m please. If this is not possible, masks are strongly encouraged.

Please follow the directions of our Mobile Market Ambassador team as covid risks evolve from week to week. We are working to support immunocompromised people, including elderly and Indigenous groups, so risk minimization remains a priority. We thank everyone who continues to support our covid safety efforts in each location.

OzHarvest Mobile Market FAQs

Please note additional bags are not guaranteed and will depend on stock levels on the day. When you arrive, we will confirm if you can take extra bags with you. If you would like to contact us directly, then please email [email protected]

During times of COVID restrictions:
When approaching the van you will see a contactless ‘pick up point’ where our team drop each pre-packed hamper. No BYO bags please.

When NSW is free of  COVID restrictions:
Please BYO bag/box. There may be a small queue to join (it moves quick), please keep 1.5m apart for covid safety. Our team will handle all the produce & fill your bag/box with fresh items you prefer. There is a limit of one bag of groceries per household. We love meeting new people so if you have the time, we would also love to stop and chat to learn more about your town!

Our focus is on fresh fruit and vegetables.

If we have run into trouble on the road and unfortunately need to reschedule the market for your town, then we will notify the relevant community leaders. They will be in touch with whoever they have referred to ensure they are kept up to date with the changes. If you would like to contact us directly, then please email [email protected]

We ask that a maximum of two people per household come to the market site to avoid overcrowding. Weather permitting, our markets are held outdoors to ensure fresh airflow. Please keep distanced 1.5m from the tables and other people, and not touch the produce. Our team will pack the fresh produce in to bags as they serve each attendee. In times of government restrictions, our team will be wearing masks and gloves.

Our aim is to return to each town at the same time every two weeks. Occasionally there are changes, so please check www.ozharvest.org/omm for our latest schedule. You can also get in touch by emailing  [email protected]  with any further questions.
